Deputy Attorney General Paul J. McNulty, Liar

From February 7th Washington Post.

"The attorney general's appointment authority has not and will not be used to circumvent the confirmation process," McNulty said. "All accusations in this regard are contrary to the clear factual record."

Not that is a new phenomenon. Check out his demonstrably false assertions on the Patriot Act’s Section 215.

You are right, Paul McNulty is a shameless liar. Example from his congressional testimony: “When I hear you talk about the politicizing of the Department of Justice, it’s like a knife in my heart.”

When McNulty was the U.S. Attorney in Alexandria, VA he insisted on a ridiculously severe sentence for a mentally ill young man because at the time McNulty was considering a run for office and he said that it would look bad for him to show any mercy to the troubled kid because his father was on the NRA Board. His own prosecutors disagreed with him, but McNulty’s personal ambition prevailed.

McNulty is the worst kind of hypocrite, and his sanctimonious Christian act has finally been exposed as a sham. I am anxiously waiting for him to be booted out of his job.
