When you think about it, it’s bizarre how many forms of communication we practice without face-to-face contact. Thanks everyone for all the calls, emails, mailed confections, mathematically appropriate ecards, mixcorps cds, wall posts, etc. It’s been a completely enjoyable birthday despite being still sick enough that I can’t do a proper “everyone gets arrested and can’t remember why” kind of celebration. I spent the day inside organizing and putting together some new furniture as I continue to try to turn this apartment into something more resembling a home.
The best part of the day though (by far) was this photo series the family put together. I know it’s hokey, but seeing my puppy almost made me cry. And when I say almost it’s ok to interpret that as more of an “almost”.

Dude stop buying stuff! If i have to drive you and all this new crap to Florida, say, for your next job in a year, i’ll be one unhappy Chup. Don’t make the Chupa angry. Growl.

Not Florida. Florida is east, I only move west. Next year is Shanghai.
