Briefly, my running summary from 2012. This year I ran 2003.8 miles in total (roughly the distance from Boston to Denver), and ran in 22 races. Those included: two 5Ks, three 5-milers, four half-marathons and six marathons (plus some oddballs, a 16-miler & a 25K, Gobble Gobble Gobble, etc). I met my three running-specific goals for 2012 (race in every month, 6×26.2, PR in half & full) this year. You can see from the plot that my high velocity mid-range runs (5-8 mile gray dots) came to an abrupt stop in September when I injured my ankle. I think these faster runs had a lot to do with my success earlier in the year (particularly, my Bayshore Marathon PR). Hopefully I will be able to bring these back online in 2013.

Good work! A truly impressive accomplishment this year! I’m so proud of you and impressed with all your time/effort/commitment to running this year. It’s been fun to cheer you on (both literally from the course and sometimes figuratively from my couch). A round of applause for you, super runner!
Ps did you call Gobble x 3 ODDBALL?!? No way.
Pps Why so slow poke on JB5?! Sheesh.
You might notice that at a 6:50 split the oddball GGG was actually my fastest race of the year. Not bad for a fun run… :)
