Mix slowly

Joe Purdy

YJP subtly reminds me that I neglected to send out the mixcorps 2009 compilations before I left for Denver like I said I would. She is correct – I didn’t get it done in time. I was a furious vortex of fixing IDE tags and forgotten socks right up until the time that I had to haul for the airport. Another contributing factor maybe have been that part of my brain was still holding out hope for the three final & highly important discs from the diaspora (from Chicago, Waltham and Little Rock) that I had been told were en route. I finally got my grubby hands on the first of those today, so now we’re (royally) down to two. Patience is virtuous.

All that said, I’m really pleased with what I’ve listened to so far. For the most part, they’re pretty good. So, soon, soon.

I was subtle, that was nice of me. patiently awaiting the next deadline…

  • There are no more deadlines. Little Rock has been deemed DOA and Waltham received. All that remains is to figure out transcoding AIFF files to MP3.

Woo Hoo. Mikey bringing up the rear. Im a tad bit disappointed in my Mixcorps submission. A friend of mine did a play with a beautiful rendition of Santa Monica by Everclear. I asked her to record but she didn’t come through. In part i blame YJP’s subtle insistence and my lack of a proper deadline delay. I mean come on 1 month is not a real delay, just ask the poor folks owed money by the good state of California. OOOOHHHH, thats why Nano is in retard. He lives in California.

p.s. I still have an awesome, well i think awesome prize to the Mixcorp master.

  • I haven’t done a formal statistical analysis yet but I’m pretty sure the most popular artist (without spoiling anything) rhymes with rufjan reevens.
