On Chrome

If you’ll humor me, allow me to be one of ten hundred thousand saying pretty much the same thing tonight. Google chrome, diggin’ it. Tear off tabs, re-merge to one window, intuitively tiled most-visited start tab, and so far it’s been frickin fast. Pretty much all the behavior I expect in Firefox is present here, plus some. Can a Google themed Linux distro be all that far behind? This is another step towards and dumping Microsoft once and for all (as well as a not so gentle nudge towards pushing Mozilla towards more rapid and responsive development).

I will say that it won’t do (far as I can tell) the thing I have most often wished for, namely, the splitting of one browser window into two side-by-side tabs. I can’t possible be the only person who regularly refers to a reference tab while working in another tab. Arranging two windows to fill the frame is a kludgy substitute.
